Here's how to combat this age-old problem:
2. Stick your business card to your food
Lunch thieves then have zero excuse for not knowing who you are or how to contact you if they're still unsure about whether or not it's theirs.
3. Use opague containers
Basically putting your food in anything where it can't be seen - so the thief has to open the lid to see exactly what's there. Out of sight, out of mind - the thief tends to be a spontaneous, sensory driven animal whilst also lazy. Opening a box without proof of reward will often be a step too far for them effort-wise.
4. Camouflage your lunch
In a similar vein to the above, this tip means you use a container that's not normally meant for food to trick the wannabe thief.
5. Get stuff that nobody else likes
If your colleagues like all the fancy stuff you bring in, STOP! Make sure you buy all-plain-everything, so only you are tempted when snack-time comes around.
6. And if all else fails, label label label
Post-its are your best friend if you have come to the end of your tether. Whether you label just your lunch, or everyone's lunches, this way you make sure that people know IT IS YOUR LUNCH AND NOBODY ELSE'S.
