Kukena, one of the cutest residents of Bristol Zoo turned one yesterday and as a birthday treat was given a hamper of his favourites foods - most of which happened to be fruit. After chowing down on blueberries, grapes and bananas he rounded off his birthday meal as all youngsters should - with a slice of cake. Being ever determined to get his 5 a day Kukena's cake was, of course a fruit cake.
Last Saturday, we took our positions once again at the end of the annual Gorilla Run in central London. Just like years before, we handed out free bananas to the exhausted men and women who took the streets dressed as gorillas to raise money for the Gorilla Organization. Here were a few grateful recipients!
