The Big Fruit Mix Up

There are a lot of different fruits out there – so from time to time it’s understandable that we all get a little bit mixed up with what’s what. So many of them look pretty much the same, taste relatively similar and have reasonably repetitive names. So it’s no surprise that we've all got a little bit confused at one time or another.

Luckily the team at Fruit For The Office are highly knowledgeable in the field of fruit so they can answer any questions you may have when you’re putting together your fruit delivery.

But for now we’ve put together a list of the most confusing culprits to help you on the way to fruit recognition.

Blueberries - Blackberries
They're both delicious, both purpley bluish in colour and have both been hailed as 'superfruits' so no wonder we get them mixed up. Here's how to tell the difference - small and whole, it’s a blueberry. Slightly bigger and made of little nodules, it’s a blackberry.

Nectarines – Peaches – Apricot

Now these fruits often get people in a muddle. They all belong to the same family and are so similar that it’s easy to get confused. In a nutshell, here’s how to the tell the difference. If it’s smooth, it’s a nectarine. If it’s fuzzy and yellowy-red, it’s a peach. If it’s small fuzzy and yellowish, it’s an apricot

Clementines – Tangerines
If you've been struggling to tell your clems from your tanges here’s how you do it. Clementines are seedless, hard to peel and have a shiny skin. Tangerines on the other hand have seeds, a matt lose skin and taste quite tangy.
