The skin can be red, yellow or purple (black), and the inside flesh can be red or yellow.

As they are grown around the world, they are always in season somewhere!
What are the health benefits?
They are low in calories, and fats, and are an excellent source of Vitamin C. They can help control blood sugar as they have a low glycemic index. They also contain potassium.
