Animals Eating Fruit - Because Why Not?

If you are looking for a huge dose of cuteness, you have come to the right place. Today we look at the animals that love fruit just as much as we do...

Fruit bats eat mostly fruit and flower nectar. They chew the fruit, then spit out the seeds, peel, and pulp. And up close they even look cute!

Hampsters love strawberries, along with apples, cranberries, blueberries, blackberries, cherries, bananas, raspberries, lychees and melons. However, they cannot eat certain fruits, such as citrus.

While meerkats mainly eat small mammels and bugs, they also love fruits such as strawberries, melons and apples.

Emperor tamarins eat fruit alongside plants, small rodents and reptiles.

Although orangutans love bananas, it's actually bad for them! This article explains that fruit cultivated for humans is far higher in sugar than wild fruit, and is like giving monkeys chocolate and cake!

Turtles can eat a variety of fruit, including apples, grapes, strawberries, cantaloupe, banana, kiwi, mango, and tomato.
