#FitFruitFriday - DIY Fruit Body Scrub Recipes

It was the first day of spring this week which means it's time to get our beach bodies ready! And we here at Fruit For The Office live by three bikini prep rules: exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! So grab what might hopefully be left from your office fruit supplier by the end of the week and get scrubbing!

Make sure to always due a patch test prior to using any of these recipes to avoid adverse reactions - natural ingredients can sometimes cause irritation especially to sensitive skin.

Papaya and Coconut
  • Blend the flesh of a whole papaya
  • Mix together in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of rolled oats and 2 tablespoons of coconut flakes (adjust amounts to suit you, test frequently before adding more to check for irritation due to over-exfoliation)
  • Rub all over damp body and shower off
  • Make sure to moisturise afterwards

Lemon and Honey
  • Mix together 4 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice with 4 tablespoons of runny honey
  • Mix in 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • Rub all over the body and shower off
  • Make sure to moisturise afterwards

Banana and Oatmeal
  • Mash up a whole banana and add one tablespoon of milk and two tablespoons of rolled oats
  • Optional: Mix in one tablespoon of honey
  • The mixture should create a thick paste
  • Rub all over damp body and shower off
  • Make sure to moisturise afterwards

Strawberry and Coffee (Great for Cellulite!)
  • Mash up 8 strawberries and mix with 1 tablespoon of finely ground coffee
  • Rub all over damp body - paying attention to cellulite prone areas - and shower off
  • Make sure to moisturise afterwards

Peach and Almond
  • Remove the peach stone from 1 peach and blend the flesh until smooth
  • Grind up almonds using a food processor and mix into the peach puree
  • Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and combine well
  • Rub all over damp body and shower off
  • Make sure to moisturise afterwards

Remember not to apply any of these mixtures to damaged, irritated or sunburnt skin and do not apply to often! Let us know in the comments how you got on with these scrubs and if they helped your skin achieve glowing results!
